Understanding the aroma diversity of Dancong tea (Camellia sinensis) from the floral and honey odors: Relationship between volatile compounds and sensory characteristics by chemometrics. Recommended basis is Cadinene. Products is: https://www.ambeed.com/products/189165-77-3.html, 51905-84-1

Dancong is a Chinese oolong tea famous for its aroma diversity. However, this diversity in characteristic is challenging to be clarified in either sensory or chem. aspects. In this study, the aromas from Dancong teas were characterized based on the typical odors of “”floral”” and “”honey””. The volatile compounds underlying the odors were investigated through chemometrics. Seventy Dancong teas of various categories were collected to approx. the diversity in aroma. According to the sensory evaluation, the floral or honey odor was detected in every sample. For volatile characterization, 57 compounds were identified by gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) coupled with headspace-solid phase microextraction (HS-SPME) across samples. The difference in floral and honey odors was related to volatile variation among the teas, as both the odor-based classification and the volatile-based unsupervised learning analyses yielded consistent sample clustering patterns. Nine volatiles were identified as putative markers for the odor difference, where indole, (E)-nerolidol, 2-phenylacetonitrile, and ¦Ã-caprolactone accounted for the floral odor predominance, while hexyl 2-methylbutanoate, (Z)-3-hexenyl pentanoate, (Z)-linalool oxide (pyranoid), (E)-linalool oxide (furanoid), and (Z)-linalool oxide (furanoid) contributed to the honey odor perception. These results point to a volatile-endorsed categorization framework based on the floral and honey odors that can assist in Dancong aroma quality control.

This article illustrates identification of composition of essential oil from Aster peduncularis. The aerial parts of A. peduncularis were collected from Berinag in the district of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India, in August 2019, at the flowering stage. Essential oil was obtained from ground aerial parts of the plant by hydrodistillation for 5 h using a Clevenger-type apparatus and analyzed by GC and GC-MS. GC and GC-MS anal. of the essential oil showed the presence of 28 components representing 92.6% of the total oil composition The oil was found to be rich in monoterpene hydrocarbons (59.5%), oxygenated sesquiterpenes (17%) and sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (13.5%).

During the storage of Prosopis alba pods, substantial quant. and qual. losses were observed One of the main factors is the seed beetle Rhipibruchus picturatus. A key strategy to develop new pest control management is the use of essential oils (EOs) due they are efficient, less toxic, and less persistent in the environment compared to synthetic pesticides. In this context, seeds and leaves of Schinus areira L. (Anacardiaceae) EOs and Citrus spp. EO were studied in the present work. In the leaves of S. areira EO, 1-epi-cadinol, sesquiterpenoid alc., was the major compound On the other hand, the main compounds of the EO extracted from S. areira seeds are the monoterpenes sabinene, and ¦Á-pinene. Finally, in the Citrus EO, limonene is the principal component. The three EOs obtained exhibited insecticidal activity against R. picturatus, being the first report of the use of EOs against this insect pest. The best insecticidal results were obtained with the leaves of S. areira EO. Moreover, this EO inhibits the acetylcholinesterase enzyme in vitro assays. Mol. docking studies on acetylcholinesterase (AChE) suggest that the main components of the leaves of S, areira EOs, bind to the active site of the enzyme, in good agreement with in vitro competitive inhibition against AChE observed for this EO. The data obtained demonstrate the potential use of Schinus areira EOs in the development of new storage pest control strategies.

The goal of the present work was to establish the compositions of essential oil (EO) and fatty acids of neutral (NL) and polar lipids (PL) from fruit of F. tschimganica. Fruit was collected by Candidate A. M. Nigmatullaev from a plant growing in the vicinity of Chimgan, Tashkent Region, during fruiting (Herbarium code Number 1511, 2015, ICPS, AS, RUz). Table 1 indicates that EO from fruit of the studied plant contained monoterpene (18 constituents) and sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (14), oxygenated monoterpenes (20) and sesquiterpenes (5), and the non-terpene O -containing compound tetradecan-1-ol. Table 2 presents the fatty-acid compositions of NL and PL that were established based on a combination of GC-FID and GC-MS data.

The essential oil (EO) was hydrodistd. from of Deverra tortuosa aerial parts. Fifty-six components amounting 99.3% were identified in EO through using gas chromatog.-fame ionization detection (GC-FID) and (GC-MS). Phenylpropanoids, dillapiole (41.6%), elemicin (7.3%) and myristicin (5.1%), and the monoterpene, sabinene (4.2%) were identified as the major terpenes. An oil-in-water nanoemulsion (particle size 70.3 nm) was developed from EO adopting a low-energy method. The EO products showed insecticidal and biochem. effects against the cowpea weevil Callosobruchus maculatus. Based on a 48-h exposure period, the oil nanoemulsion exhibited a superior contact bioactivity (LC50=10.3¦Ìg/cm2), followed by EO (LC50=23.1¦Ìg/cm2), dillapiole (LC50=27.8¦Ìg/cm2), and myristicin (LC50=37.1¦Ìg/cm2). Upon fumigation, nanoemulsion and EO were superior as fumigants (LC50 after 48 h were 6.9 and 14.3¦Ìl/l, resp.). Test materials showed a residual bioactivity against C. maculatus, where EO, dillapiole, and myristicin showed the strongest grain protecting activity. EO products significantly inhibited acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity of C. maculatus adults. Test products were safe toward the non-target earthworms and did not alter the viability of cowpea seeds. There are evidences for the potential of using EO of D. tortuosa and its nanoemulsion and phenylpropanoids as natural grain protectants against C. maculatus.
